Our client supplies contingent medical labor throughout the United States. Last minute requests for additional staffing cost medical facilities a premium over placements that are known more in advance, however many facilities have difficulty anticipating their needs. Additionally, with travel nurses being in such high demand, prior to the pandemic many nurses would give preference to companies that arranged their placements with a month or more in advance. To address this issue we developed a custom predictive algorithm for staffing placement. The algorithm predicts the need for upcoming placements by facility and department. The sales team at our client use this forecasting tool when discussing upcoming placements with their clients.
