Every year Sunkist Growers market their fresh oranges and lemons in a number of countries. Marketing efforts are partially funded by the USDA under its Market Access Program. The use of these funds carries a requirement to assess the effectiveness of the programs using the funds. Each year, Horizon makes this evaluation via online consumer surveys in twelve countries – Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and Taiwan. We use a pre-test, post-test design where marketing outcomes are measured before the campaign is run and after it has finished. Outside of that project, Horizon Consumer Science has completed over 80 market research projects with Sunkist, and our relationship spans 30 years.
